May 14, 2023 - Fly to Frederick for Breakfast
Chuck and I were looking for a place to fly to breakfast. It seems like we always go east, so we decided to go west and hit the Airways Inn at Frederick (KFDK). Haven't been there in a while. As you can see, it was a beautiful day -- visibility was outstanding. Baltimore looks OK from the air. The ground? Not so much -- I never go into the city.

Frederick is a towered airport. It was busy coming in. Chuck and I did a formation landing on the wide runway which was fun.

This morning was Mother's Day, so the Airways Inn had a good crowd. We were still seated fairly quickly. The food was served quickly and was excellent. At a good price too. Recommended if you are ever in the vicinity.

Passing Pimlico Racetrack, which is gearing up for the famous Preakness horse race next week.
